Refund Policy

Short version The $25 pre-launch reservation is fully refundable at any time before hardware is shipped. No questions asked. Email dev@hybt.ai to request a refund.

1. Pre-launch reservation refunds

The HYBT PrivacyNode $25 pre-launch reservation is refundable in full on request. This policy covers the pre-launch reservation only. Hardware purchase refund terms will be published separately as part of the Kickstarter campaign before launch.

Eligibility

You may request a full refund of your $25 reservation fee at any time provided you request it before hardware has been shipped to you. No hardware is currently available for shipping — the reservation is a digital pre-launch access placement only. There is no minimum time requirement, no cancellation window, and no reason required.

2. How to request a refund

Use the subject line: Reservation refund request. Include the email address used when placing the reservation. No reason is required.

We confirm your request
We will reply within 2 business days to confirm receipt and that processing has begun.

Refund to original payment method
We initiate a full $25 USD refund to your original payment method via Stripe. Stripe typically processes refunds within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer. The timeline is outside our control once we initiate the refund.

3. Automatic refunds

We will issue refunds to all reservation holders automatically, without requiring individual requests, in the following circumstances:

Automatic refunds will be processed via Stripe to the original payment method. Reservation holders will be notified by email.

4. Currency and fees

Reservations are charged in USD ($25.00). Refunds are issued in the same currency. Any currency conversion fee charged by your bank or card issuer at the time of purchase is not refundable by HYBT as it is charged by your financial institution. Stripe does not charge an additional fee for standard refunds.

5. Future hardware purchase refunds

This policy covers the pre-launch reservation only. Separate refund terms will apply to hardware purchased through the Kickstarter campaign or any subsequent store. Those terms will be published before the campaign launches and will comply with applicable consumer protection law in supported shipping regions.

6. Consumer rights

For customers in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with statutory consumer protection rights: nothing in this Refund Policy limits or removes your statutory rights. Your legal rights under applicable consumer protection law apply in addition to this policy.
